Die Pack GPS tracker and exploding pack
Product Description
This is a Rare original $ 20 Federal Reserve decommissioned EXPLODING DIE PACK/CASH TRACKER that the U.S. Bureau of Engraving used to track pallets of money while it is in transit from Fed to Fed, or to a banking institution.
It was also inserted between bills in random bundles. If a bundle containing a die pack is removed from a specified area (i.e. taken out of bank doors), it exploded, releasing an indelible ink dye and possible array of additional chemicals. The conspicuous bright color (usually red) stains on the bills, allow quick easy visual recognition of stolen money.
This is an unusual piece of history that you can add to your collection.
This partial pack was inserted in to the center of another cut out pack. The pack was then inserted into a pallet of currency for transport. The tracker would utilize GPS tracking technology to track
You can see the printed circuit board clearly on both sides of the partial pack. You can also see the cross stitch string that holds this cash tracker together.
It has a bar code on it. There are more engravings and various lettering as well. Everything seems intact. Lots of potential here.
Both Sides have the original glue in the center of both the front and back of this very unique currency collectible.
