Product Description

This was the first year that the Jefferson Nickel was minted.

What makes this coin stand out is the red and blue toning that is starting to develop around the edges of the front of the coin. It also displays a lustrous patina on both sides. It’s just an absolutely stunning coin!

This coin is an unusually nice high-end survivor with a sharp strike.

This rare 1938 D Jefferson nickel is a true gem for any collector. With its impeccable MS 66 grade certified by PCGS is a must-have for those who appreciate the value of rare coins. The strike on this Nickel showcases the intricate details of the design, making it a beautiful addition to any collection.

The U.S. Mint replaced the Buffalo Nickel design with a new design in 1938, the Jefferson Nickel. The Jefferson Nickel has been produced ever since and is still in production today.

The obverse features a portrait of Jefferson, and the reverse has an image of Monticello, Jefferson's historic estate.

This coin is encased and sealed by PCGS. Every PCGS certified coin is backed by the industry leading PCGS guarantee, which provides greater protection for both BUYERS AND SELLERS.
