Being offered today is a SUPER RARE AND SUPERB example of a 1929 P (Philadelphia) Mercury dime ERROR COIN!! If you look on the reverse of the coin the strike is off center, making this an error coin.
The older dates from 1920’s are getting harder to find in this condition.
Error coins are much harder to find because the mint highly scrutinizes all coins for a perfect strike. It is very rare that these coins are released from the mint into the public.
