The front features Nero’s laureate head facing right; inscription IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR P PP / The back shows Victory flying left, holding a shield inscribed SPQR; inscription VICTORIA AVGVSTI around, with S-C flanking. Coin reference: RIC 601; Cohen 302 for type. Measures 30mm, weighs 12.45g. Exhibits a deep brassy “river” patina with excellent character. Provenance: From a Basel-Landschaft, Switzerland collection.
