China, Qing Dynasty. Xian Feng, 1851–1861 AD. Massive Bronze 50 Cash Coin, Chengdu Mint (Sichuan Province). Cast between 1853–1854 AD, this oversized 50 cash coin features bold calligraphy and retains its attractive brass (huáng tóng) color. Coin reference: Hartill-22.980 for type. Measures an impressive 48mm in diameter and weighs 34.62g. Graded Very Fine with excellent preservation for its size and age.
