English Flintlock Conversion Pistol // Early 19th Century

A fantastic and burly early 19th Century English Flintlock/Percussion Conversion pistol featuring a single piece walnut stock and steel furniture. Some scratches and wear consistent with age and very light pitting on some of hardware, the stock with light chips and cracks common for pistols of this age, but remains overall solid. Three intentional grooves carved into the right side of the butt were likely "kill notches" made by the original owner! Hammer holds at half and full cock, but the trigger has trouble engaging. Minimal ornamentation on this piece shows that it meant business! Noticeable stamps on the barrel shows two emblems and the number 16 on the left side and R on the top rear end. Ramrod included and can still be detached. Total pistol length 13 3/4”. Pistol does not have a stand, a temporary acrylic block was used for some of the photography only.
